European Enduro Championship in Rüdersdorf (Germany) – Preview

Micheluz low

Maurizio Micheluz, the Italian defending champion

The final of the Enduro Championship will be held from October 30th to November 1st in the German city of Rüdersdorf (in the east of Berlin). The start is scheduled on Friday evening with a prologue.

From 17:00 clock, the participants of the European Championship will compete there in pairs against each other. The race for the two days foresees three courses on the 62 kms track, with three different special stages. One of them is right in the paddock. The start will be on Saturday at 8:00 and on Sunday from 7:30 already.

The main focus is the fight for the title in the Overall standings: the fastest rider of all classes is the Brit Tom Sagar. But the defending champion Maurizio Micheluz was suffering due to an injury in the last race and is he now on form again. We should not forget some German riders who will also be at the start and, of course, can count on home-field advantage in the daily classification.

The title in the Women’s class is already in the hands of the Finnish Sanna Kärkkäinen, but the KTM rider wil be at the start of the race in Germany, struggling to win again. In addition to the usual displacement of European classes, for the final weekend there will be also a national team-ranking.

The paddock, as well as the start and finish point, is located in the historic Museum Park of Rüdersdorf where in earlier times limestone was extracted to build houses. Live-timing of the competion at: www.Zeitnahme-dataservice.de.
