European Cross Country Cup in Latvia

FIM Europe Cross Country Cup at Madona (Latvia) gathered 19 participants from five Countries – Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Finland.
The two hours Cross Country race in Madona was not easy for many riders. The track was interesting and technical, and the riders after the race said they were satisfied with today’s race and track conditions. During the race they had to fight with forest trails, steep uphill and downhill and other obstacles.

The track was unusual for competitors and suprised even many of the spectators who came to watch the race.
Ugis Klimons from Latvia was the first to cross the finish line winning in Senior class ahead of Dmitriy Parshin (RUS) and Riho Keerme (EST).
In the Veteran and Woman Classes Danielius Žoštautas (LTU) and Marita Nyqvist (FIN) won the Cross Country Cups.
In the Junior Class Daniel Komkov (RUS) had to surrender to the supremacy of Miks Rasmanis – the young rider from Latvia was too fast and strong this time.

Janis Arbidans from Latvia was the fastest rider in Quad class ahead of Aurimas Petrauskas and Kestutis Kaminskis, both from Lithuania.
The race was carried out without any crashes and injuries.
