Speedway Euro Championship at Hallstavik (Sweden)

Vaclav Milik was the best in the third round of the Speedway Euro Championship, which took place at Hallstavik, in Sweden, in front of around 2.500 spectators. On the podium also Andzejs Lebedevs and Andreas Jonsson. Latvian Lebedevs still is the leader of the general standing. This morning at 10:00, riders took part to the training. Unfortunately practise showed that Adrian Miedziński could not take part to the competition due to his arm injury, so the reserve rider Pontus Aspgren replaced him. In heat 2, Mateusz Szczepaniak and Martin Smolinski performed a great show. The German rider attacked "Szczepan" on the inside, which allowed him to overtake his rival and win first race in SEC 2017. The second series was good for Martin Smolinski too. "Smolly", despite bad start, tried to overtake his rivals. Finally he did it at the last corner, when Krzysztof Kasprzak and Andrey Kudryashov rode outside.

European U21 Team Speedway Championship at Abensberg (Germany)

The SF2 of the European U21 Team Speedway Championship was held at Abensberg, in Germany, in front of 650 spectators. The meeting was run in hot conditions but in good timing. The even Danish team was dominant from the very beginning and won. The fight for the second place lasted throughout the whole meeting between Czech and Germans. Eventually the German team led by Michael Haertel not only finished second but scored enough points to qualify for the European Final in Krosno, which will be held on August 19th. European Individual Speedway at Güstrow (Germany) – Preview

This weekend the track of Güstrow, in Germany, is going to host the second final of the European Individual Speedway Championship. The first final was at the Motorena of Torun, in Poland, where Jarosław Hampel started as a wild card and won in front of Vaclav Milik and Andzejs Lebedevs. The final was held in bad weather conditions: the organizers had to cancel the practice due to rainfall. Luckly, the track was good enough to start the competition at 19:00. At last, fans watched an exciting show. The first heat showed how important Speedway European Championship really is for riders. Russian Grigorij Laguta, from the second gate, did not manage to control the pressure and broke the tape. Therefore, Paweł Przedpełski had a chance to start in his hometown in SEC. European Under 21 Individual Speedway at Macon (France)

The track of Macon, in France, hosted the U21 Speedway Individual Championship. It offered spectacular racing. The track was in very good conditions, and provided the riders a perfect stage, with around 2000 spectators, in a fine, sunny day. The riders really fought hard to reach the top 5 to qualify for the final. The winner of the event was Polish rider Dominik Kubera who dropped only 1 point in his second race to his rival who finished second in the overall, Robert Lambert for Great Britain. There was a run-off to solve the third position: 3 riders finished with 11 points. The surprise of the night Daniel Bewley, from Great Britain, won the run-off after a really hard fight with Rafal Karczmarz, from Poland, who finished fourth in the overall. The last rider in the run-off was Davis Kurmis, Latvia, who will be ready for the final on home

European U21 Individual Speedway SF2 at Nagyhalasz (Hungary)

The track of Nagyhalasz, in Hungary, hosted the SF2 of the European U21 Individual Speedway Championship. In a sunny, hot day, 16 riders took part to the event in front of around 1.800 spectators. Five top riders qualified to the Final which will be held at Daugavpils (Latvia) on 26th August. European Sidecar Track Racing Championship at Winborne (Great Britain)

During the first weekend of June the  500cc Sidecar European Semi Final was held at Merley Farm near Wimborne, Dorset, in the United Kingdom. Saturday’s practice was cancelled due to the force majeure (the doctor was called off to an emergency), so Sunday was a very busy day with practice, 10 EU SF heats and 18 support races.  As well as the 500cc sidecars, the 1000cc sidecars and grasstrack solos provided the entertainment to a crowd of about 1200 spectators. In the  European 500cc semi final 13 teams took part from 6 Countries with the local English riders making up nearly half of the field with 6 teams racing under the Union Jack. The battle for the 6 qualifying places was immense. The perfectly prepared, wide and safe track allowed for some spectacular action. European Grass Track Championship – Semi Final 2 at Saint Macaire (France)

The Semi-Final 2 of the European Grass Track Championship was held last weejend at Saint Macaire, in France, in front of around 1.000 spectators. The meeting was run on a wet track after a storm in the morning but luckly the weather changed: in the afternoon it was sun and cloudy and the heats were interesting and without crashes. Among the 18 riders plus 2 reserves, the first three riders were Andrew Appleton, who won, and Edward Kennet and Paul Hurry, all of them from Great Britain.Andrew Appleton was impressive, since he won the meeting with the maximum score (20+5). Fourth position for the expert French rider Mathieu Tresarrieu, who was protagonist of some spectacular overtakings. The next round will be the final, on 12th August at Hertigen, in Germany. Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Gorican (Croatia)

Polish Przemysław Pawlicki won the SEC Challenge in Gorican, Croatiam in front of 3.500 spectators. Danish Kenneth Bjerre was second and his compatriot Nikolai Klindt, who won play-off heat, was third. The promotion to SEC 2017 gained seven riders from the top of the GC - apart from mentioned three: Mateusz Szczepaniak, Martin Smolinski, Kacper Gomólski and Adrian Miedziński. Big emotions started already in the first heat and it was just a sign of what was to come yet. Kenneth Bjerre and Kim Nilsson were fighting all the way until the last meters of the lap. The fight was won by the Swede, who blocked the Dane trying to attack from the outside. On the other hand, the most unlucky rider was Andriej Karpow, who broke the tape in his first start and was disqualified from the third gear, losing important points needed for advancing to the Speedway Euro Championship.

Individual Euro Speedway Championship SF3 at Terenzano (Italy)

The Individual Euro Speedway Championship SF3 was held at Terenzano, in Italy, in front of 940 spectatirs. Sixteen riders and 2 reserves took part to the event. Thanks to the skills of the professional riders and to a good track, the spectators witnessed an interesting meeting, with some spectacular passes expecially from German ace Martin Smolinski. The winner was Timo Lahti (Finland) in front of Martin Smolinski (Germany) and Kenneth Bjerre (Denmark).
