Hill Climb European Championship: third round In perfect weather condition with summer temperatures, the city of Julbach, Austria, welcomed the Hill Climb European Championship. In the first heat, French rider Jean Luc David with his Honda CBR1000RR (Superbike class) was very close to a new track record (1:05.489) In the second run, the difference between the winner and the second (Andreas Gangl) was only 0.01 seconds, again in favor of the French. Among the men, Alice Sabatini was the only one woman in the SuperMoto class. She finished third in the first heat and fourth in the event Italian rider Giudo Testoni. In the SSP600 Mauro Poncini improved in the second heat, but that was not enough to catch up with the well-disposed Maurizio Bottalico.   Together with the Hill Climb European Championship races, also the Vintage Championship was in action with its riders. Vintage Enduro European Championship: the season started in France The 2022 season of the Vintage Enduro European Championship kicked off last weekend in Mayet de Montagne, France. More than 350 riders from France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany arrived in the wonderful forest-landscape to give life to an amazing “retro” challenge. A perfect test trail was prepared by the experienced Team Saint Yorre Motos in the mountains around Mayet 100 km with 3 fine selected Enduro Tests per day, about 5 hours riding. Vintage Road Racing European Championship The 2022 season of the Vintage Road Racing European Championship got off to an excellent start at Ring Djursland, near the old harbour town of Ebeltoft, Denmark. Despite the cold and windy but sunny conditions more than 5.000 spectators had found their way to the track. Riders representing 6 different nations fought in seven different classes. Enduro Vintage European Championship: final in Spain Last weekend the Enduro Vintage European Championship came to the end of its season after the first round in Italy, the second one France and the third in Germany. The city of Sant Mateu, Spain, hosted the last race of the year. A two-days race with the top organisation of the Club de Motociclismo Off Road Sant Mateu. Riders from all Europe competed until the last special test for the European title. Vintage Endurance European Championship: last round in Misano Season finale for the Vintage Endurance European Championship at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in the atmosphere of the Misano Classic Weekend. About 400 riders took part to this event, in compliance with the anti Covid-19 regulations. The last race of the Vintage Endurance European Championship was raced together with Italian Endurance Championship: 29 teams with 29 bikes plus 17 T bikes of which 28 was qualified for the race. Vintage Enduro European Championship: third round in Germany After the first round in Casciana Terme, Italy, and the second one in Villebrett, France, the 3rd race of the Vintage Enduro European Championship took place in Itterbeck, Germany. Almost 30 riders came from Italy, Spain, France and Germany to join the race. The race was perfectly organized and riders could ride enduro with the amazing landscape close to the Netherlands and the North-Atlantic Sea. The route was 66 km long per lap (2 laps) with an amazing Special Cross Country Tests to be raced four times, for a total of about 5 hours. Hill Climb and Vintage Hill Climb European Championship: action in Italy Second round of the Hill Climb and first one for the Vintage Hill Climb European Championship in Italy, in the mountains of Pogio-Vallefredda. Vintage Endurance Cup: the season started in Le Castellet Photo Credit: Alain Vande Craen The first race for FIM Europe Vintage Endurance Cup was held last weekend at Paul Ricard race track, Le Castelet, near Marseille, behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The race was very professionally organised by French Federation and Paul Ricard staff.
