Supermoto European Championship 2024 Calendar updates The FIM Europe, together with XIEM and the Supermoto Commission, would like to announce the updates to the 2024 Supermoto European Championship calendar. 6 rounds for the SM Junior and 1 for the S4, confirmed to take place in Italy over the weekend of June 29th-30th. The SM Junior Championship is set to kick off on April 20th-21st in Spain. Second round is in Italy in June, while in July the series will move to Poland and in August to Germany. Confirmed also the round at the beginning of September in Romania. In October the grand finale will take place in Belgium. Supermoto European Championship 2024 Provisional Calendar The FIM Europe, together with XIEM and the Supermoto Commission, would like to share the 2024 Supermoto European Championship provisional calendar. 8 rounds for the SM Junior and 1 for the S4, that will race in Italy on June 30th. The Championship will start in April, venue tba, and then will see a double appointment in Italy: Tramatza and Busca. In July it will move to Poland and in August to Germany. Two rounds in September: Romania at the beginning and France at the end of the month, before the grand finale in Belgium in October. Further updates to the calendar will be soon communicated. S4 and SM Junior European Championship: Francisco Gomez Requena and Andrea Benvenuti are the champions! The S4 and SM Junior European Championships got to their final race in Castelletto di Branduzzo, Italy, perfect scene for the last round of the season. The battle for the titles was still open. In the S4 Kevin Vandi and Francisco Gomez Requena were the main rivals, divided by a 10-point gap. The SM Junior was even more challenging with the head-to-head of Matej Kokes and Andrea Benvenuti, who arriver tied on points at this last race. S4 Race 1 Pole man Alessandro Morosi (Honda RedMoto Gazza Racing) did not make the best out of his starting position and lost it when Francisco Gomez Requena (Husqvarna) took it away from him; Kevin Vandi (L30 Racing Tm Factory) was third. SM Junior European Championship: Andrea Benvenuti wins in Belgium The penultimate round of the SM Junior European Championship was raced at the city circuit of Mettet, Belgium, an historic location scene of the most beautiful European by-invitation-races. A circuit that ensured a thrilling show. Andrea Benvenuti (KTM) comes back home after achieving the victory in Mettet and prevailing over his main rival Matej Kokes (Husqvarna). With one more race to go, both riders have the same number of points but the Italian rider has the red plate of Championship leader thanks to better results. Race 1 As the red lights blinked off Nathan Terraneo could not pull away so Andrea Benvenuti and Matej Kokes got the green light. S3 Junior European Championship: Brando Campocasso is the new champion! Two weeks after the second and third rounds of the FIM Europe S3 Junior Supermoto European Championship in Romania, the fourth and the fifth rounds of the series was raced Pleven, Bulgaria. Prejmer Raceway Circuit near Brașov, about 200 km north of capital Bucharest, offered a perfect setting for Supermoto some with wide turns, fast corners and a nicely built offroad. First race of Saturday was a real thriller with incredible highs and lows and an unexpected unfolding of events. Bulgarian Jivko Ivanov (KTM) was on pole and managed to take the holeshot only to throw everything away in the second corner as he lost grip at the offroad entrance and crashed while going from first position to dead last in just a few seconds. S3 and SM Junior European Championship: scorching heat in Pleven Photo credit: Plamen Kodrov After a long break the S3 and SM Junior European Championship were back in action at the track of Pleven in Bulgaria – an iconic track for the discipline, as it was the first circuit to include the asphalted off-road section also called sky section. SM Junior In Race 1 Andrea Benvenuti (MTR Ktm Racing) took the lead at the start of the first moto, after the first corner and despite Matej Kokes (Husqvarna) tried to overtake his rival, he did not succeed. The top three was rounded off by Nathan Terraneo (Ktm). Benvenuti’s race pace was unsustainable for his rivals, so he was the protagonist of a solitary race.
