European U19 Speedway Championship: QR2 in Czech Republic QR2 of the European U19 Speedway Championship was raced in a sunny Plzen, Czech Republic, about 90 kilometres west of Prague in western Bohemia and fourth most populous city in the country. Wiktor Przyjemski (Poland) was the best winning ahead of Francis Gusts (Latvia), second after an additional run-off heat, and Norick Blodorn (Germany). SEC: Final 2 in Germany Final 2 for the SEC, the Speedway European Championship in Güstrow, Germany. Janusz Kołodziej won the 2nd round, Patryk Dudek took second place, while Daniel Bewley was third. Janusz Kołodziej brought home a set of points from as many as four of the five races he rode. This gave the Pole a handicap at the end of the regular phase, when he, Leon Madsen and Patryk Dudek each had 12 points. Kołodziej directly advanced to the finals, along with Madsen, who was pushed by a win in race 9 against the popular "Duzers". In the last chance race, Patryk Dudek and Daniel Bewley used the advantages of the outer starting fields. Mikkel Michelsen fought for a pass to the final until the very end but passed the finish line as third. European U19 Individual Speedway Championship: QR1 QR1 for the European U19 Individual Speedway Championship in Slovakia, in the town of Zarnovica, situated in the Hron river valley, in the west part of the country. The race day started with a heavy rain and even if in the afternoon it stopped, the parade and 1st heat needed to be postponed. Thanks to the excellent job of club members all the heats were completed with no other setbacks. At the end of a thrilling challenge with many overtakes, after 20 heats Jakub Krawcz took the win but one additional heat had to be run for the 2nd place. European Pairs Speedway Championship: Semi Final 1 The Semi Final 1 of the European Pairs Speedway Championship took place in Macon, France, in the east of the country. The meeting was run with the track in the perfect condition and good weather conditions in front of a warm audience. The sprint for the first place was in balance since to first heat between Great Britain and Sweden and only in the last heat the five points of Great Britain let them win the meeting. Third place and last qualify to Norway. Out of the Final Italy with Paco Castagna, who has done the maximum individual score of the meeting, while a new generation of French young riders finished fifth ahead of Netherlands. European U19 Pairs Speedway Championship: Polish team crowned champion! Riga, the capital of Latvia, hosted the single round of the European U19 Pairs Speedway Championship. The city is the largest is the three Baltic states and lies on the Gulf of Riga at the mouth of the Daugava river where it meets the Baltic Sea. Founded in 1201, its historical centre is a Unesco World Heritage Site noted for its Art Nouveau/Jugendstil architecture and 19th century wooden architecture. The race, well prepared by the Riga Speedway Club, went very dynamically and smoothly thanks to the perfect condition of the track and the Referee, Mr. Pawel Slupski. European 250cc Pairs Speedway Cup: Final 2 Second date for the European 250cc Pairs Speedway Cup: a few days after the Final 1 in Poland the best riders of the Speedway discipline went back on track in Pardubice, Czech Republic, for the Final 2. Team Denmark won (26 points) closely followed by Poland (24 points) and Sweden (20 points). Team from Czech Republic finished fourth with 18 points, while Germany close the top five with 14 points. Mikkel Andersen, recently crowned European 250cc Youth Speedway Champion, ruled the race becoming the best rider of the meeting. During this week, riders had the unique opportunity to race in 4 meeting in 6 days in Central Europe (Poland and Czech Republic). European 250cc Youth Speedway Championship: Dane Mikkel Andersen grab the title Great weekend for the European 250cc Youth Speedway Championship with the SF1, SF2 and Final in Liberec, Czech Republic. In spite of the unfavourable track conditions because of heavy rain night before meeting, all riders finished the game safe. SF1 Home hero Adam Bednář won SF1 ruling all heats. Czech fans who gathered on Saturday morning at the Letná stadium in Liberec experienced a fantastic racing day. Halfway through the competition, the first ruts appeared on the track, but this did not significantly affect riders' attitude. Results: 1. Adam Bednář, CZE 2. Mikkel Andersen, DEN 3.
