European U21 Team Speedway at Daugavpils (Latvia)

In a dry, sunny weather in front of 2.000 home fans cheering for their national team, 4 junior teams provided excellent racing at Daugavpils, in Latvia. The first two teams put up exciting racing on the track for the top podium place till the last heat. The Danish team produced great riding up to the end and deserved the first European U21 team title in their history. Second position for Poland ahead of Latvia.

European Supermono Cup at Oschersleben (Germany)

The last round of FIM Europe Supermono Cup was held at Oschersleben. Josef Frauenschuh arrived as the leader of the general standings and he confirmed his good state of form in qualifying practices, even if the pole position went to Jerry van den Bunt, who however was absent in Grobnik and lost many points in the general classification. The first race started on wet/dry (mixed) track surface but many riders opted for wet tyres. After the race all wet tyres were almost destroyed but there were no serious crashes. After very emotional fight the winner was Jerry van den Bunt. In this race he showed that the classification of the European Supermono Cup 2018 was still open. Tauron Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Daugavpils (Latvia)

Leon Madsen won the third round of Tauron Speedway Euro Championship 2018, which was held at Daugavpils (Latvia) in front of around 6.000 spectators, in a sunny day. Thanks to a good result, Dane became the new leader of Individual Speedway European Championship. It was the very first heat, when fans, who gathered at the venue in Daugavpils, had reasons to get excited from. Andzejs Lebedevs - the local favourite, started the meeting with a win. Heat after heat, current Euro Champion got it slightly worse and did not get through to the final heat. Rivalry in Latvia started great for Madsen, who left Robert Lambert behind his back in his first start of the day. Dane presented some solid racing, which led him to gathering 16 points. European Under 19 Individual Speedway Championship at Varkaus (Finland)

The Speedway U19 Individual European Championship was held at Varkaus, in Finland - 17 riders from 10 nations were on the starting list, and they all did their best to become the Champion. On a sunny and windy day on a hard racetrack Mads Hansen from Denmark was the fastest, ahead of Polish Szymon Szlauderback and of Latvian Olegs Mihailovs. These young riders from 10 different Countries showed that Speedway is at a high level in Europe. European 125 cc Youth Track Racing Cup at Divisov (Czech Republic)

The town of Divisov, Czech Republic hosted the European 125cc Youth Track Racing Cup, which was held in front of around 200 spectators. The meeting was run with sunny, warm weather. 19 riders took part to the event. Thanks to work of the local organizers, the track was ready for a perfect competition and the spectators could see a very good race. The winner was Jaroslav Vaniček ahead of Bruno Belan. Šachl Vojtĕch claimed 3th place after a brave attack on the last bend of the final heat when he defeated Sam McGurk (ACU). All the riders on the podium are from Czech Republic.

European Mini Bike Road Racing at Franciacorta (Italy)

This year’s meeting has been a great success with 109 riders from 14 different Nations participating. The scene was the Autodromo di Franciacorta in Italy and with clear skies and warm and dry weather this excellent venue with two different tracks – one for MiniMoto and one for Mini GP – set the ideal frame for three days of racing and friendship. The Mini Bike racing is for children from 7 years and for many of the participants it was an inspiration and education to be part of the friendly but strict atmosphere associated with a European Championship. The Italian riders held the home track and they had strong results in all of the MiniMoto classes as well as in the Mini GP class. European Endurance Cup at Dijon (France)

The 3rd round of European Endurance Cup was held last weekend on the beautiful racetrack of Dijon in France, with the organization of Bike Promotion. On Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning the qualifying practice was held. The first three teams in the European Endurance Cup were: Bike Parts Van de Kamp, from The Netherlands, Aprilia Team Grebenstein from Germany and Pecable Racing Team from Switzerland. The race started at 1 pm in very hot conditions, with 34°C. 37 teams started the race, 8 for the European Endurance Cup: German Endurance Cup and FIM Europe Endurance Cup, in fact, were held together. Two safety car procedures after crashes provided a very close race up to the end. After 6 hours the Aprilia Team Grebenstein won ahead of Bike Parts Van de Kamp and Pecable Racing Team. European Moto2, Superstock 600 and Talent Cup at Aragon (Spain) – Day2

Edgard Pons (AGR Team, photo1) won both races in the Moto2™ European Championship and José Antonio Rueda (Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) and David Muñoz (Jerez Andalucía Motor Talent) shared the victories in the European Talent Cup (photo2). Edgar Pons collected his first win of the season in the Moto2™ ECh after going solo in the opening laps. The AGR Team rider crossed the line more than two seconds ahead of Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior) while Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) finished third more than 11 seconds behind the winner to secure his first podium of the season. Alessandro Zetti (Fau55 Racing) was the best classified in Superstock 600. Edgar Pons received the Repsol free fuel cheque. European Supersport 300 Cup at Grobnik (Croatia)

The 4th round of the European Supersport Cup was held at Grobnik, in Croatia together with the Alpe Adria International Championship event. On the brand new surface of the Grobnik track the riders were faster than before, notwithstanding typically Croatian Summer weather conditions. The Saturday practice was held without any hard problem and the qualifying result is: Roman Kucera from Slovakia (photo1) ahead of South African Samuel Lochoff and of Michal Búlik from Slovakia (photo2). In Race1 the final ranking saw Kucera ahead of Búlik and Lochoff. In Race2 the podium saw Búlik winning ahead of Lochoff and of Vojtech Schwarz from Czech Republic. In both days the races were spectacular and satisfied the around 3000 spectators who attended the event even though the weather was very hot. European Moto2, Superstock 600 and Talent Cup at Aragon (Spain) – Day1

José Antonio Rueda (Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0.0) in the European Talent Cup made his debut as poleman in the fifth round of the FIM CEV Repsol this weekend in MotorLand Aragon, as did Edgar Pons (AGR Team) on his return this season to the Moto2 European Championship. In Moto2™ EC, Edgar Pons (AGR Team, photo1) secured his first pole of the season, breaking Jesko Raffin’s (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior) two-pole streak with a time of 1:53.675. Category leader Jesko Raffin finished second and Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS), third. Very few riders improved on the times achieved in the morning session. Lukas Tulovic (Team Wimu CNS), Tommaso Marcon (Team Ciatti) and Miquel Pons (Bullit) will be looking to get back on the podium from the second row of the grid, taking advantage of the absence of Augusto Fernández, who has been on the podium in each race so far,
