Third round of Quadcross European Championship in Kegums (Latvia)

The third round of European Quad Championship was held this weekend on the circuit “ZELTA ZIRGS” Kegums in Latvia. 29 Quad riders came to a perfect prepared circuit, and the free practice and qualifying training was carried out on a warm and cloudy day. The fastest rider in the qualifying practice was Edgars Mengelis Latvia, with Olli Koskela Finland on the second place and on the third place came Mike Van Grinsven the Netherlands. On a sunny Sunday with 28 degr. The first race toke place at 12.30 and the fastest rider was Edgars Mengelis Latvia number two Olli Koskela Finland, and on the third place came Mike Van Grinsven the Netherlands. In the second race Edgars Mengelis Latvia was again the fastest with Olli Koskela Finland on the second place, and number three Mike Van Grinsven the Netherlands Overall standing for the third round is Edgars Mengelis Latvia 50

Quadcross EC in Kivioli (Estonia)

On this wonderful multifunctional Arena with Motocross, Hill Climbing, Fun Cars (“soapboxes”) and Ski and Snowboard in winter we saw again Motocross from its best in front of 10000 spectators. The Saturday qualifying practice saw 25 quads fighting for the best positions behind the starting grid. Best time did Edgars Mengelis, Lavia, with 1:53,144 min. Second best was Mike van Grinsven, Netherlands, 1:54,025 and third got Olli Koskela, Finland, 1:54,140. The top 15 were close together, all under 2 min. lap time. In heat 1 holeshot went to Nr. 421, Sten Jupaschevski, local Estonish rider and he was in the lead for more than half distance, than he crashed on a jump near the tent! Start of the 2014 EMX Quadcross in Oss (The Netherlands)

The 2014 Quadcross European Championship started this weekend in Oss (The Netherlands) with the participation of 27 riders. Both races were won by Dutch Mike Van Grinsven (W-Tec). In the overall standings, second position went to Dutch Joe Maessen (Suzuki), who arrived in second position on both heats. Third overall was Belgian Davy De Cuyper with two third positions. Fatal accident in Quadcross of European Nations in Cingoli (Italy)

Yesterday, the 13th of October, in the track of Cingoli (Italia) was a fatal accident in which a young British quad rider, Conner Smith, representing Team GB (ACU) in the QuadCross of European Nations, died in the medical center at the track before he could be air-lifted to hospital. All marshals, Red Cross people. doctors worked professionally, and very fast. The event was abandoned after this tragedy which happened in the first race, and therefore there are no results for the QuadCross of European Nations or the SidecarCross of Eurpean Nations. Last round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad EC in Rudersberg (Germany)

The seventh, and final round in the Maxis European Quad Motocross Championship, was this weekend held on the track in Rudersberg (Germany). On a very wet track the Saturday’s training and qualifying, was done the Riders have difficult conditions to ride this. The pole position for the races on Sunday went to the already 2013 Champion Jérémie Warnia. In the first race Sunday, was the fastest rider Joe Maessen (Yamaha) followed by Manfred Zienecker (KTM), and on the third place came Olli Koskela. The second race started in heavy rain and after 20 minutes the race was canceled, Joe Maessen (Yamaha) was the first who passed the line and number two, Marc de Vries (VLS) and on the third place Oliver Vandendeijk (KTM). Sixth round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad EC in Dardon Gueugnon (France)

The sixth round of the MAXXIS EMX Quadcross European Championship was held this weekend in Dardon Gueugnon (France). The dominance of French Jeremie Warnia for the whole championship was confirmed also in this round, with the French rider winning both heats. Thanks to these victories he became 2013 European Champion with one round in advance. In the first heat second position went to French Florent Ramel and third to French Yoann Gillouin. In the second heat second position went to Yoann Gillouin and third position to Dutch rider Mike Van Grinsven. Fifth round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad EC in Kegums (Latvia)

On the beautiful track Zelat Zirgs in Kegums (Latvia) was held fifth round of European Quad Motocross Championship. After heavy rain over the night the conditions on the track were very hard. In first heat won Dutch rider No.11 Mike VAN GRINSVEN in front of Championship leader Jeremie WARNIA No. 62, who crashed on the start race and started to ride on last place. Over the end of the race he managed to the second place, third finished rider No.92 Olli KOSKELA from Finland. In second heat Jeremie WARNIA lead from the start to the end of the race, second finished No.11 Mike VAN GRINSVEN and third again No.92 Olli KOSKELA from Finland. The provisional rankings with two rounds to go see the strong leadership of Warnia with 242 points in front of Koskela with 167 points. Fourth round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad EC in Kivioli (Estonia)

The fourth round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad EC took place on a perfectly prepared track at an organizer with high knowledge in MX Sport. The weather was perfect and got still warmer on Sunday (up to 25°). The Qualifying practice was won by the Championship Leader, Jeremie Warnia, FFM on his DWT in front of Latvian Edgars Mengelis, Yamaha, 1.451 sec behind, and in a distance of 1.309 sec to Mengelis Mike van Grinsven, KNMV, got third. In the EMX Quad, Heat 1, holeshot went to Olli Koskela, SML, Yamaha. After lap 1 Edgar Mengelis was in the lead, Koskela 2nd and Warnia already in the 3rd position. After 6 laps Warnia could overtake Mengelis and could keep first position over the remaining 12 laps. The third round of the MAXXIS Quadcross European Championship was held this weekend in Genk (Horensbergdam) Belgium. The first heat was won by French Jeremie Warnia (DWT), followed by Dutch Joe Massen (Suzuki) and Mike van Grinsven (W-TEC), also from The Netherlands. In a very exciting second race, the Dutch Mike van Grindsven (W-TEC)was the best, in front of the two French riders Matthieu Ternunck (Yamaha) and Jeremie Warnia (DWT). Overall classification leader after six races is Jeremie Warnia with 145 points, second Mike van Grindsven with 116 points and third is Olli Koskela from Finland with 89 points. The second round of the MAXXIS Quadcross European Championship was held this weekend in the Dutch track of Varsseveld. The French Jérémie Warnia (DWT) won both heats. In the first heat in front of Dutch Mike van Grinsven (W-TEC) and Belgian Jan Vlaeymans (W-TEC). In the second heat second position went to Vlaeymans and Latvian Edgars Mengelis (Yamaha). In the provisional rankings Warnia leads with 100 points in front of Mike van Grinsen with 71 points. The next round is scheduled next weekend the 22nd and 23rd of June in Genk (Belgium).
