FIM Europe Working Group on the “Age Limit for International Motorsports”

The participants to the Working Group on the “Age Limit for International Motorsports” The Working Group on the “Age Limit for International Motorsports” had a very successful meeting today in Hotel Tiber in Fiumicino (Rome, Italy). Participants from various European Federations, as well as Prof. Fabio Pigozzi, Rector of University of Rome Foro Italico, and Prof. Marjan Olfers phd, Professor in Sports­law at the VU University of Amsterdam, discussed in depth the criteria of the participation of young riders (under the age of 12 years) in the European Championships and other international events. A draft report will be submitted for approval to the Management Council of FIM Europe for the meeting on 2nd April. The final report will then be sent to the 48 affiliated European Federations, while a final discussion will take place on the occasion of the General Assembly of FIM Europe at the Congress in Kavala (Greece) on 2nd July. European Ice Speedway in Ufa (Russia)

The Final of the Individual Ice Racing European Championship was held last week–end in in Ufa, Russia, in good weather conditions with a temperature slightly under zero. After two days of exciting heats with perfect prepared track on a very high sporting level the numerous spectators have seen the victory of Ice Speedway local world legend Russian Nikolay Krasnikov, eight-time world champion. He had never won an European Championship, now he can add this this title to his fantastic career.Strong and hard but fair fight on the following places brought sixteen-year-old Russian Dimitry Solyannnikov up to the second place and vice-champion title. FIM Europe Club Off Road Experience in Grevena (Greece)

Following the 1st event of the FIM Europe Club, held in October 2015 in Tuscany and as announced in occasion of our Congress in Malta, the 2016 Grevena FIM Europe Club – Off Road Experience has been organized by AMOTOE. The Experience will be held in Grevena – Greece from the 22nd to the 25th of April 2016.As already decided, the FIM Europe Club automatically includes, as Members, all FIM Europe officials (as listed in the Yearbook) as well as the Presidents and the Secretaries General of all FMNs affiliated to FIM Europe. The participation of the FIM Europe Club Members is foreseen only by motorcycle, choosing to participate with one’s own enduro bike or to rent it on spot.“Everything is well organized by AMOTOE. European Enduro Championship kicking off in Italy

Tom Sagar with Sherco Team Only some weeks left to the kick off the European Enduro Championship (EEC) in Donoratico,  Italy.For 2016 there are four different, new and well known venues for the upcoming competitions. Moto Club Costa Etrusca is organizing on 12th and 13th of March in Donoratico / Italy (south of Pisa) the first round.Only a fortnight later, on 26th and 27th of March is the next highlight at a prominent place: in Brioude / France with the organization of the Motoclub Brioude the second round of the EEC will be hel. Since the Six Days enduro fans all over the world know the place very well.In the mid of summer, at 30th and 31st of July there will be the next step in an also well known place: Ogre, Latvia which was already one of the areas where the EEC was held not so long time ago.New entry

The start of one of the races held last year in Demino (Russia) The Russian Motorcycling Federation MFR announces that the race of European Snowcross Championship scheduled in Demino, Russia, on March 19th, has been cancelled due to mild weather conditions. The torrential rains of the latest days, in fact, swept away snow day by day and the weather forecasts for February and the beginning of March are not encouraging.

Avalon Biddle returns to defend Women’s European Cup title

New Zealand's Avalon Biddle will return to the FIM Motul World Superbike paddock as she aims to defend her title as 2015 FIM Europe 'Women's European Cup' champion. The Women's Cup takes place as part of the European Junior Cup powered by Honda, with the female riders competing directly for EJC points but having the added benefit of an independantly scored championship. Avalon Biddle claimed the 2015 Womens Cup Title from second placed Anastassia Kovalenko, after scoring six wins in eight races.“I'm very pleased to announce that I will be racing in the European Junior Cup and Women's European Cup once again in 2016!” states Avalon Biddle. “My goal other than retaining the Women's Championship is to finish consistently inside the top 5 overall.
