European Sidecar Championship Final at Wertle (Germany)

William Matthijssen will try to continue his domination of international Sidecar racing at the 2018 European Final on Saturday at Werlte, in the North of Germany. The 41-year-old Dutch star goes in search of a hat-trick of consecutive wins and a sixth title, with only German legends Thomas Kunert (11) and Josef Ondreka (10) winners of more than one title. Matthijssen has been dominating the class since the retirement of Kunert, but he has one important omission from his racing CV – none of his previous five victories have been achieved in Germany, so he’ll need to rectify that to continue his winning streak. Wilfred Detz joins Matthijssen in carrying the hopes of The Netherlands, after winning last Sunday’s semi-final on home turf at Roden. Sidecar European Championship Semifinal at Roden (The Netherlands)

On a hot sunny day the Semifinal of the European sidecar Championship was held at Roden, in The Netherlands, in the context of the final of the FIM Long track (Final) .12 teams from 5 Countries took part to the event in front of over 2000 spectators. Some very exciting heats were battled out by the riders in both the 8 qualifying heats as well as in B and A final. The Dutch team of Wilfred Detz and Wendy Arling was unbeaten all day long and rightfully took the chequered flag in the A final. The two British teams finished close, in second and third position. The most spectacular heat of the day was arguably the 7th, where British team Berwick-Hopkins and Danish team Frederiksen-Grandt gave life to an incredible battle for the top position. European Supermoto at Thessaloniki (Greece) - Day 2

With the sun out and temperatures rising high the Drive Park race track in Thessaloniki, Greece was ready for the race day of the fourth round of the S1 Supermoto European Championship. The Greek organisation prepared the track at its best and with the spectators already early on the grandstands, Thessaloniki was ready for some racing action. At his return after the injury sustained in Poland, TM Factory Racing rider Thomas Chareyre was back at the top and took the victory in the S1 Class. In the S1 Lites class the victory went to Phoenix Racing rider Nicolas Cousin. Race1 The first race in Thessaloniki started with 22 riders on the grid. At the start it was Phoenix Racing rider Markus Class to take the holeshot into the first corner of the Drive Park race track. European Supermoto Championship at Thessaloniki (Greece)

In sunny and very hot weather conditions the fourth round of the 2018 Supermoto European Championship season started in Thessaloniki in the region of Central Macedonia of Greece. For Greece it is the second year in a row that the Championship is being organized. The race track of Drive Park is one of the best in the country and with its combination of fast and medium corners and fast straights it will give some close racing. Today the free practices and time practice were held in Thessaloniki. After his injury in Poznan, TM Factory Racing rider Thomas Chareyre is back in action and took the pole position in Greece. With a lot of riders close to each other, for sure the races of tomorrow will be full of action. Speedway Euro Championship at Güstrow (Germany)

The Final 2 of Speedway Euro Championship was held at Güstrow, in Germany. Around 5000 spectators witnessed one of the best speedway meetings in recent times - close racing, with an incredible amount of overtakes, with positions changing corner after corner, race after race. British Robert Lambert was victorious in the final heat to take the evening’s top spot, closely followed in second place by Danish Leon Madsen. The battle for third spot that was won by Mikkel Michelsen ahead of Emil Sayfutdinov. The event was held without incidents and injuries. The venue of the MXGP of France scheduled for the 16th of June 2019 has been updated to TBA (to be announced). European Women’s Motocross Championship Medal Ceremony

Following the cancellation of the final round of the Women's Motorcross Championship, the Chairman of FIM Europe Motocross & Snowcross Commission, Mr. Eddie Herd, is delighted to announce that the medal ceremony will now take place on the SkyBox podium on 16th September at the MXGP in Assen, with the kind permission of Youthstream. This event has the FIM WMX class together with MXGP and MX2 and it is planned to have the medal ceremony on the Sunday morning following the WMX winner's ceremony. The WEMX winners are as follows: Gold - Sara Andersen of Denmark (in the photo) Silver - Shana Van Der Vlist of the Netherlands Bronze - Mathea Selebo of Norway. For the 125 2 stroke class the winners are:- Gold - Lyn Valk of the Netherland Silver - Malou Jakoben of Denmark Bronze - Kirstine Valledsen of Denmark.
