EMX 65 and 85 and Open at Kovel (Ukraine)

The 3rd round in EMX 65cc and EMX 85cc in the NE Zone and the 7th round in EMX Open were carried out in Kovel, Ukraine. On a well prepared track, with rainy weather the free Practice, pre qualifying practice and qualifying races were held on Saturday. In the EMX 65cc qualifying race the winner was Maksymilian Chwalik from Poland who the pole position for the Sunday races, in front of Richard Paat from Estonia and Janis Kubulins from Latvia. In the EMX 85cc class in qualifying the fastest rider was Romeo Karu from Estonia in front of Mairis Pumpurs from Latvia and Edvards Bidzans from Latvia. In the Open class the first rider over the finish line of the qualifying race was Dmytro Asmanov from Ukraine followed by Kristers Drewinskis from Latvia and Volodyyr Tarasov fromUkraine. EMX 125, 250 and 300 at Ottobiano (Italy) - Day 1

This weekend the EMX 125, 250 and 300 championships are being held at Ottobiano, in Italy. In day1, the first race of each class was held. In EMX125 Mikkel Haarup from Denmark won in front of Italian Gianluca Facchetti, both on Husqvarna. Third position for Isak Gifting, from Sweden, on KTM. In EMX 300 James Dunn on KTM won in front of Brad Anderson, on KTM, too, both from Great Britain. Third position for Dutch Mike Kras, on the Orange brand bike, too. Tomorrow Race2 for the three classes will be held, again in the context of MXGP.

EMX 125 and 250 at Ernée (France)

The 2017 FIAT Professional MXGP of France started with the second races of European Championship EMX250 and EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing. Once both races results were tallied Honda Redmoto Assomotor’s Mathys Boisrame and Creymert Racing’s Kevin Horgmo (photo2) were the best European Championship riders. EMSX250 In what started as a field of 77 EMX250 riders (photo1) ended up with one winner, Frenchman Mathys Boisrame. Boisrame shined in front of his home crowd when he led every lap of race one on his way to the win. The #172 almost did the same in race two but was denied by his Honda Redmoto teammate Alberto Forato. Forato passed Boisrame on the very last lap to take the race 2 win after starting in eighth and working his way forward. Forato’s 12th in race one and win in race 2 put him 3rd overall. EMX 150 and 300 at Teutschenthal (Germany) – Day1

This weekend EMX 150 and 300 are being held at Teutschenthal, in Germany. In EMX 150, Italian Andrea Adamo won Race 1  in front of Luis Outeiro from Portugal and Anton Nordström Graaf from Sweden. In EMX 300 it was Brad Anderson, from Great Britain, to snatch the victory in Race1, setting his KTM in front of Mike Kras from The Netherlands, on KTM, too, and of Erik Willems from Belgium, on Husqvarna. EMX65 and 85 South West at Gazzane di Preseglie (Italy) – Day2

The first race in EMX 65 class was lead by Italians Ferruccio Zanchi and Alessandro Gaspari. Third place went to French rider Mathis Valin. The second holeshot went to Italian Alessandro Gaspari but Ferruccio Zanchi lead again 7,37 sec ahead of Alessandro Gaspari and 9.09 sec of Slovenian Jaka Peklaj. The overall winner of the event was Italian Ferruccio Zanchi in front of Alessandro Gaspari and of French Mathis Valin. Race1 in EMX 85 was lead by Spanish David Braceras. Yesterday’s  qualification winner  Eddie Jay Wade from Spain was out due the technical problems. Second and third place to Italian riders Andrea Rossi and Pietro Razzini. The second holeshot went to Spanish Raul Sanchez, who won the 2nd race as well. in front of his compatriot David Braceras. Third position for Italian Matteo Luigi Russi. The first round of  EMX SW Zone EMX65/85 European Championship started today in sunny Gazzane di Preseglie, in Italy with 77 riders in EMX 65 and 49 in EMX 85. The weather conditions early in the morning were really good but the ground was still muddy. After few hours it was sunny and windy. The track was well prepared. In EMX 65 qualification race the first position went to the young Italian rider Alessandro Gaspari  6,72 sec ahead of his compatriot Andrea Valetti and 12,11 sec in front of Spanish rider Alejandro Perez. In EMX 85 group A the first position went to young Spanish rider Eddie Jay Wade, almost 11 sec ahead of Italian rider Matteo Luigi Russi. Third position for Spanish Guillem Farres. As the 2017 FIM Motocross World Championship takes to the demanding dark sand of Valkenswaard so to will the season opener of the EMX125 class Presented by FMF Racing. EMX65, 85 and Open at Kolding (Denmark)

The Motocross track of Kolding in Denmark hosted the second round of the EMX 65 and 85 North West Zone of the European Motocross Championship. This was also the first round of the year for the Open class. More than 500 spectators were present despite the bad weather that was haunting the circuit since Friday. EMX65 Both EMX65 races saw the domination of Dutch rider Ivano Van Erp (KTM) who managed to win with a big margin and won the overall with perfect score. Second position in Race1 for Dutch Damien Knuiman (Husqvarna) while the last step of the podium went to local rider Nicolai Skovbjerg (KTM). In Race2 it was Danish Mads Fredsoe (KTM) and Lucas Coenen from Belgium (KTM) to catch the second and third position but due to their low score in Race1 they did not step onto the overall podium. FIM Europe for the harmonisation of rules in Motocross

Following a change to the World Championship rules regarding the use of starting blocks, FIM Europe has decided that the same should apply to the European rules to keep the rules harmonised. "Riders may not use any starting aid devices. However, starting blocks are allowed in EMX65, EMX85, EMX150, Women’s EMX, the Women’s Motocross of European Nations and the EMX85 class in the MXoEN, plus EMX125, EMX250 and EMX300 when combined with MXGP/MX2 where the metal, serrated starting grid is used”, stated Mr Eddie Herd, chairman of the FIM Europe Motocross and Snowcross Commission.
