EMX 150 and 300 cc Championships in Loket (Czech Republic) - Day 2

  LOKET (Czech Republic), 26 July 2015 - Emil Weckman’s championship lead was reduced to just three points after Albin Larsen powered through to take the race two victory, in what proved to be one of the most exciting races of the season. While Weckman was slow out of the gate, Jack Bintcliffe had a great start which saw him take the lead in the first lap. The British rider was unable to keep hold of this position and lost out early on to Larsen and Tim Edberg, who showed that he was still in good racing form after a small crash in yesterday’s race.Edberg started to pull away from the field but Larsen was able to keep with the fellow Swede. FIM Europe for Noise Test in Motocross

During the World and European round of Motocross in Loket, Czech Republic, an independent evaluation of the 2 meter noise test was carried out, with a company - IMS Noise and vibration - that provides noise and vibration solutions for national governments throughout Europe.The results of the test have not been declared, yet, but it will be positive because it will identify the need for minimum engine revs to be set for the future of the test.

European Enduro Extreme Cup in Sweden

Joakim Ljunggren  Today the third race of the European Enduro Extreme Cup the Battle of Vikings was held in Storstenshöjden, just 20 kms outside the city  of Örebro, in Sweden. The conditions at start were perfect with about 18 degrees and sunny, but the last hour of the race the rain started to fall and the track was even more difficult.The race was held under 4 hours on a track about 10 kms long with a lot of difficulties like Hamburger Hill, HA-HA Logs, extreme parks and just before the finish the famous Black Piste, a steep uphill with a lot of stones.After yesterday’s prologue Andreas Linusson, from Sweden, started just ahead of his compatriot Joakim Ljunggren, KTM and Blake Gutzeit (RSA), Husqvarna.After first checkpoint in the first lap Ljunggren passed Linusson and then was in the front for the whole race and and won after completing 7 laps 25

European 150cc Motocross Championship in Loket (Czech Republic) – Day 1

Jack Bintcliffe (in the photo) stormed away from the pack to take race one victory at the sun-bathed Czech Republic track Loket, despite Emil Weckman taking the holeshot. Both Bintcliffe and Weckman made good starts on the run into the tricky first corner, which sees the track make a tight left hand turn up hill, while the rest of pack bunched together. Tim Edberg unfortunately lost out in this first corner when the field of riders took the tight line and he was left with nowhere to go, which resulted in a small crash that relegated the young German to last but one before he could get going again.Bintcliffe and Weckman quickly pulled away from the rest of the field and managed to maintain their pace and the gap until the chequered flag. Despite Weckman trying his hardest, the young Finn was unable to close the gap to Bintcliffe. In

From the left, Daniel Rivas and Bernat Martinez MONTEREY, CA, July 20 - A chain-reaction, multi-bike incident on the first lap of yesterday’s second MotoAmerica Superbike/Superstock 1000 race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca has resulted in the deaths of two competitors.    Bernat Martinez, of Alberic, Valencia, Spain, was transported from the raceway by ambulance to Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) in Monterey, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was 35. Bernat Martinez, rode at Spanish, European and World Championships during the last years.Daniel Rivas Fernandez, of Moana Galicia, Spain, was transported by REACH Medical Air Services to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, where he also succumbed to injuries. European Open 65cc Motocross Championship in El Molar (Spain) – Day 2

EL MOLAR (Spain), 19 July 2015 - The soaring temperatures had nothing on how hot the battle for junior motocross supremacy was. Young Dutch sensation Kay Karrsemakers was crowned European Open 65cc winner. European Open 65cc Race OneIt may have seemed like the longest start straight in the world for most of the 65’s but it was the perfect distance for Spain’s own Raul Sanchez who was oozing adrenaline at the start of race one and took the holeshot and early race lead. Unfortunately, the freshly watered track caught the little Spaniard out which saw him drop back to sixteenth when he crashed on an uphill. Holland’s little ripper Kay Karssemakers took full advantage of the gifted lead and knuckled down right away while France’s Florian Miot tried to keep up. European Trial Championship in Luserna (Italy) - Day 2

Steven Coquelin - Photo by Mario Candellone Steven Coquelin (Gas Gas) got his revenge and topped the Europe class, but Gianluca Tournour (Gas Gas) finishing in second place, stretched his advantage in the overall standings. The third round of the FIM Europe Trial Championship was held on the same place and same loop as the day before, in Luserna San Giovanni, Italy. The heavy showers dropped in the night before made all the sections in the wood more difficult. Moreover one section was also modified by organizers on behalf of a decision taken by the Jury Meeting, to make it harder, as the best riders wished to have. As result in many sections very few riders were able to pass it "clean". European Grass Track Final in Staphorst (The Netherlands)

Spectators from the Netherlands, Germany, France and England were promised a thrilling and exciting racing evening at Staphorst (Netherlands) last weekend and that’s exactly what they saw. Despite a hot and sunny day, the club worked hard to produce a very fast race track that gave the spectators an excellent evenings racing at the FIM Europe Grass Track Individual European Final.The eighteen competitors – who had qualified for this event via two previous semi-final rounds earlier in the season – quickly adapted to the conditions which produced some very fast and furious racing.As the meeting progressed, the track conditions improved, and it became difficult to predict who would be the eventual winner. However once all the qualifying heats had been completed, home rider Jannick De Jong emerged as the hot favourite, although he was beaten once by the exciting young 17 year old English rider James Shanes.With the sun starting

Tim Wunderer For almost 20 years the Motorsportclub Olching had not held any international championships, so the Youth Gold Trophy was quite an exciting challenge for the new organisation team which had only been elected this year. Chairman Stefan Lochner and his team were really well prepared and the officials were excited as the whole event went off without a hitch.The weather conditions were almost perfect for the event - only in the end of the race day, just before the award ceremony started, a cloudburst appeared and the youngsters and officials were drenched with rain.The locals were especially excited about seeing their club rider Tim Wunderer on his home track. The 14 year old rider from Grießbeckerzell (near Augsburg) is one of the most promising young talents in German Speedway. European Open 65cc Motocross in El Molar (Spain) – Day 1

EL MOLAR (Spain), 18 July 2015 - The fast and flowing track built on the rolling countryside of El Molar, Spain got the ball rolling for the European Open 65cc Championship today. In stifling hot and extremely dry conditions, the young racers gave it their all on the rock hard clay in bid for the top qualifying positions and early advantage for the main event tomorrow.It was a surprise start to the weekend for JD19 KTM Racing TE’s Adam Kovacs who had his little 65cc wide open here in El Molar. Kovacs (in the photo by Youthstream) said he struggled with the heat a little bit and couldn’t believe he set the fastest lap time after landing hard off of a jump and breaking his bike.
