Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Terenzano (Italy)

Emil Sayfutdinov won the SEC Challenge, which was held in Terenzano, Italy, in front of around 1.300 spectators, in a sunny day. The Russian rider is one of 5 riders, who got promoted to this year’s Speedway Euro Championship series and this list included also Mikkel Michelsen (Denmark), Jozsef Franc (Czech Republic), Andrey Kudriashov (Russia) and Peter Kildemand (Denmark). The first two series of the meeting were a chain of crashes and exclusions. However, fans gathered at the MC Olimpia Terenzano venue, couldn’t complain about lack of fight on the track. There were some spectacular clashes with Antonio Lindbaeck and Kai Huckenbeck, but none of them was able to reach the promotion. Snowcross European Championship at Levi Ski Centre (Finland)

The 2018 FIM Snowcross World Championship is in the books from the Levi Ski Center in Kittilä, Finland. The best Snowcross riders in the world joined up with the Women’s Snowcross World Cup and the European Snowcross Championship for epic racing on the slopes of Levi today. The first race of the European Championship was predominately led by Pär Vikman with Sami Huttunenin second the first 8 laps. Robert Lunden started 4th but, after he dropped to 5th the first lap, worked his way forward into 2nd by lap 9. As Lunden surged forward Huttunenin dropped to 6th position. Lunden soon applied pressure to Vikman and then took over the lead on lap 14. Vikman followed the new leader for 3 laps before mounting a charge and passing Lunden back. Across the finish Vikman took a well deserved race win with Lunden second and Jonas Laakkonen 3rd. Race 2 started

EMX65 and EMX85 European Championships SE Zone at Sevlievo (Bulgaria) - Day1

On the Bulgarian track of Sevlievo, the practice and qualifying of the EMX 65 and 85 South East Zone European Motocross Championships have been held today in hot, dry condition. EMX 85 - Croatian rider Luka Kunic won Qualifying race in very hot weather. The championship leader confirmed his supremacy ahead of Marius Kanakis from Greece and of Romanian rider Marius Popovici. EMX 65 – The protagonists of the top positions in the general standings were fighting for the first three places in the qualifying race. Zoltan Ordog was the leader from start to finish. Behind him the battle for second and third place saw Israelian rider Ofir Tzemach finishing in second place ahead of Hungarian Adam Horvath. dig

MXGP of Russia Starts with Amazing Orlyonok Opening

For the second year in a row the MXGP of Russia was kick started by an impressive Opening Ceremony. The Russian Children’s Center Orlyonok hosted the MXGP of Russia’s media event which invited the top riders of the World and European Motocross Championship along with various media and guests from the MXGP Paddock. Riders joining the event included Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Clement Desalle, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Max Anstie and Gautier Paulin, Kemea Yamaha Official MX2 Team’s Vsevolod Brylyakov, Jago Geerts, and Ben Watson, Team HRC’s Calvin Vlaanderen, TM Factory Racing’s Max Nagl and Samuele Bernardini, Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP’s Shaun Simpson and Jeremy Seewer, BOS GP’s Evgeny Bobryshev, iFLY JK Racing’s Ivo Monticelli and Manuel Iacopi, KTM Silver Action’s Stephen Rubini and Gianluca Facchetti, Team Honda Redmoto Assomotor’s Arminas Jasikonis, Petar Petrov, Alberto Forato, and Mathys Boisrame, Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki’s Alessandro Lupino, and many others.

EMX65, EMX85 and Women’s Championship at Esbjerg (Denmark) – Day 2

The first round of the EMX 65/65 European Championship of North West Zone an d t heEMX Women was held in Dennmark on the sandy track of Esbjerg. The weather onSunday was very good. It was cloudy with a temperature of around 12 degrees. The track was very well prepared and all riders were looking forward to exciting races. EMX85 - In Race1, Dutch Kay de Wolf was able to achieve the first place. In second place followed Belgian Liam Everts ahead of Tobias Caprani from Denmark. In Race2 DutchKay De Wolf prevailed again ahead of Kay Karssemakers from The Netherlands and of Liam Everts from Belgium. The overall was Kay de Wolf in front of Liam Everts and Kay Karssemakers. EMX65 – Race1 was won by a female rider from the Netherlands, Lotte Van Drunen. In second place Dutch Bradley Mesters ahead of Anton Isaksson from Sweden. In Race2,

Road Race Hill Climb European Championship at Landshaag (Austria)

The first round of European Hill Climb Championship was held at the traditional location at Landshaag, in Austria. Mr. Martin de Graaff, FIM Europe 1st Deputy President, visited the event. Besides the high level of organisation and nice number of spectators – around 15.000 - all the practices and heats were completed in optimal dry, sunny conditions without any crashes. In the practices the fastest rider in FIM Europe classes were: in 250cc Guido Testoni (FMI), in Supersport: Rafael Neuner (AMF), in Superbike: Wolfgang Gammer (AMF), in Supermono Open: Josef Frauenschuh (AMF). mde The winners of the races on Sunday are: in 250cc Guido Testoni from Italy; in Supersport Rafael Neuner from Austria; in Superbike Wolfgang Gammer from Austria; in Supermono Open Josef Frauenschuh from Austria. Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Pardubice (Czech Republic)

The town of Pardubice in the east of the Czech Republic hosted the SemiFinal 4 of the Individual Speedway European Championship, which was held in front of around 1100 spectators. The meeting was run with sunny, warm weather. 18 riders took part to the event. Thanks to the work of the local organizers, the track was ready for a perfect competition and the spectators enjoyed a very good race. Antonio Lindback from Sweden won ahead of German Kai Huckenbeck and of home rider Eduard Karcmar, and the three riders qualified to the challenge which will be held in Terenzano in one week (on May 5th) The meeting was crash free and was run over in less than 3 hours. Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Gorican (Croatia)

It was a superb meeting with many riders on equal points fighting for “Last chance” heat. Weather was perfect for an evening race, track was very well maintained and provided excellent racing. The winner Andriy Karpov from Ukraine ended second in the regular part after 20 heats behind his countryman Aleksandr Loktaev, but he managed to be at his best in the semifinal, where Loktaev conquered the second place. Local favourite Jurica Pavlic gave the crowd something to cheer about with his spirited ride, securing the spot, firstly in the last chance heat and then conquering the third place in the semifinal which leads to the ECC.
