European Vintage Road Race Championship at Donington Park (Great Britain)

The UK round of the FIM Europe Vintage Road Race Championship was organised by the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club and held under sunny skies at the Donington Park Classic Motorcycle Festival. The former Moto GP circuit served up some brilliant racing over three days, thrilling a big crowd of spectators. The first set of races saw class wins for: Class 2 Stuart McDonald (Bultaco), Class 3 Charles Murdoch (Honda), Class 4 Tomas Karlsson (Yamaha) Class 5 Roel Pasop (Triumph), Class 6 Alan Major (Triumph), Class 7a Mike Smith (Triumph ) Class 7b Mike Smith (Yamaha). Conditions for racing remained ideal for the second set of races and the results were similar to the first set of races except that Bernd Pollman took the Class 4 win on his immaculate Aermacchi after race 1 winner Tomas Karlsson retired his 350cc Yamaha. European Watercross Cup in Finland

The Finnish town of Sodankylä hosted the first Watercross European Cup in a cloudy weather with abouth 17 degrees. The riders present were 23 present, from the Scandinavian countries. The event was held ahead of around 1.500 spectators. The organizer did made a fantastic work up to this event and the spectators could see an event in top class. Free practice and qualification was done before lunch time and the finals after. The final result in European Watercross Cup 2018 saw Antti Holmberg from Finland winner with 25 points ahead of Joachim Olsen (in the photo in action) from Norway with 20 points and Morten Blien from Norway with 16 points.

European Trial Championship at Santo Stefano d’Aveto (Italy) – Day 1

Spanish Berta Abellan (Vertigo, photo1) and Italian Carlo Alberto Rabino (Beta, photo2) were one step above all in Day 1 of the fourth round of the European Trial Championship, held at Santo Stefano d’Aveto, Italy. Winners in Women's and Youths’ classes, respectively, scored almost half points than their most challenging rival. The young Spaniard girl decided to escape from her group of rivals. Taking advantage to be one of the first to start, she absolutely did not worry to open all the sections, rode for herself and gained the leadership at the turning point. Her score was 5, but Norwegian Ingveig Hakonsen (TRS) did as much as her a brilliant first lap, making just one more mistake. German Theresa Baeuml (Montesa) followed with 13 marks. European Motoball Championship 2018 in Russia – Preview

From Monday August 6th to Sunday August 12th the European Motoball Championship will be held in Kovrov (Russia). The City of Kovrov has a long history in Motoball Sport and is located about 300 km East of Moscow. The Governor of the Region Vladimir is supporting the Championship strongly and the Stadium was rebuilt during the last month to guarantee optimal conditions for the most important event in Motoball 2018. For the first time in Motoball Sport there will be 2 classes in the Championship. - One for Seniors and one for Juniors between 12 and 18 years of age. In the Senior class the Teams from Belarus, France, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands and the hosting Team from Russia will participate. European Trial Championship at Santo Stefano d’Aveto (Italy) – Preview

Crucial moments for riders of all the classes of the FIM Europe Trial Championship as in the next two week-ends all titles will be assigned: in Italy and in Belgium the two chosen venues. At first the European riders are expected to enter at Santo Stefano d’Aveto, little village in the mountains behind Genova, where in 2012 one round of the FIM World Championship was held. Do not be frightened by the high temperatures that are crossing Italy - and not only - in these days. Santo Stefano d’Aveto is situated at almost 1000 mt of altitude, consequently some degrees less than any other part are guaranteed. As usual when all the categories are present, on Saturday Women’s and Youths’ Cups will be on the scene. European Endurance Cup at Dijon (France)

The 3rd round of European Endurance Cup was held last weekend on the beautiful racetrack of Dijon in France, with the organization of Bike Promotion. On Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning the qualifying practice was held. The first three teams in the European Endurance Cup were: Bike Parts Van de Kamp, from The Netherlands, Aprilia Team Grebenstein from Germany and Pecable Racing Team from Switzerland. The race started at 1 pm in very hot conditions, with 34°C. 37 teams started the race, 8 for the European Endurance Cup: German Endurance Cup and FIM Europe Endurance Cup, in fact, were held together. Two safety car procedures after crashes provided a very close race up to the end. After 6 hours the Aprilia Team Grebenstein won ahead of Bike Parts Van de Kamp and Pecable Racing Team. European Moto2, Superstock 600 and Talent Cup at Aragon (Spain) – Day2

Edgard Pons (AGR Team, photo1) won both races in the Moto2™ European Championship and José Antonio Rueda (Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) and David Muñoz (Jerez Andalucía Motor Talent) shared the victories in the European Talent Cup (photo2). Edgar Pons collected his first win of the season in the Moto2™ ECh after going solo in the opening laps. The AGR Team rider crossed the line more than two seconds ahead of Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior) while Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) finished third more than 11 seconds behind the winner to secure his first podium of the season. Alessandro Zetti (Fau55 Racing) was the best classified in Superstock 600. Edgar Pons received the Repsol free fuel cheque. European Supersport 300 Cup at Grobnik (Croatia)

The 4th round of the European Supersport Cup was held at Grobnik, in Croatia together with the Alpe Adria International Championship event. On the brand new surface of the Grobnik track the riders were faster than before, notwithstanding typically Croatian Summer weather conditions. The Saturday practice was held without any hard problem and the qualifying result is: Roman Kucera from Slovakia (photo1) ahead of South African Samuel Lochoff and of Michal Búlik from Slovakia (photo2). In Race1 the final ranking saw Kucera ahead of Búlik and Lochoff. In Race2 the podium saw Búlik winning ahead of Lochoff and of Vojtech Schwarz from Czech Republic. In both days the races were spectacular and satisfied the around 3000 spectators who attended the event even though the weather was very hot. The Latvian town of Stelpe hosted the last round of the European Quad Championship of the seson, with 25 riders from 11 Countries ahead of around 5.000 spectators. On Saturday in the qualifying race the winner was Kevin Saar from Estonia, ahead of Christopher Tveraen from Norway and Roman Gwiazda from Poland. Today in Race1 the qualifying positions were maintained and Kevin Saar won ahead of Christopher Tveraen and Roman Gwiazda. In Race2 Kevin Saar won again, this time ahead of British Harry Walker and Emils Phoelich from Latvia. In the overall Kevin Saar won with 50 points, second was Harry Walker ahead of Ricard Phoelich, both with 38 poinnts.
