EMX ITP Quad European Championship at Markelo (The Netherlands)

The last race of the EMX Quad championship was held in Markelo, The Netherlands. In the week before the event there it was raining but in the racing day it was great sunny weather. Both races in the EMX Quad were dominated by Dutch rider Mike van Grinsven, who was leading from start to finish. Second in the first heat was Dutch rider Ricardo Phoelich and third was Jan Vlaeymans from Belgium. Kevin Saar finished fourth in the first heat and that was enough for him to win the European Quad Championship 2017. In the second heat second place went to Jan Vlaeymans ahead of Kevin Saar. European Superstock 1000 and Supersport Cup at Portimao – Day 2

The Superstock 1000 European Championship race on Sunday at the Prosecco DOC Portuguese Round concluded five laps early due to a red flag, with the victory being taken by Toprak Razgatlioglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing). Pole man Florian Marino (Pata Yamaha Official STK1000 Team) and Maximilian Scheib (Nuova M2 Racing) were classified in second and third respectively as the race results were taken from the rider positions at the end of the ninth of 14 scheduled laps. The red flags were shown due to a technical problem for Marino which saw smoke bellowing from his Yamaha machine at just over two thirds of the race distance. At the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao Mike Jones ( Racing - Junior Team) and Jeremy Guarnoni (Pedercini Racing) registered top five results, in fourth and fifth respectively. European Moto2 and Talent Cup at Jerez (Spain)

In the sixth round of the FIM CEV Repsol this weekend at the Circuito de Jerez, Ricky Cardús (Team Stylobike) stamped his authority on Moto2™ by taking his second pole of the season, after losing the lead of the Moto2™ European Championship category to Eric Granado (Promoracing) in the last race at Estoril. The Team Stylobike rider managed to improve his time in the second qualifying session with a 1:43.129, squeezing the Promoracing rider off the front slot on the grid. Steven Odendaal (NTS Sportcode T.Pro) debuts on the front row, and looks increasingly in tune with his bike. Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) began the season well but failed to get onto the front row of the grid for the second consecutive time. Motocross of European Nations at Gdansk, in Poland

The 2017 Motocross of European Nations saw 17 teams from 16 different countries come together to race in Gdansk, Poland this weekend. Today marked the second of the 2 day event. An Opening Ceremony started the morning with FIM Europe President Dr. Wolfgang Srb, Major of Gdansk Mr. Pawel Adamowicz and Mr. Michal Sikora, Vice President of the Polish Automobile and Motorcycling Federation PZM, all welcoming the participants. After a wet Saturday the weather made a change for the better Sunday to provide great racing and at the conclusion of which it was the French Federation celebrating as their team took the MXoEN winner’s trophy while the Women of the Netherlands celebrated their Women’s Motocross of European Nations victory. Motocross of European Nations 125cc/250cc In the first race of 125cc and 250cc Ukraine’s Volodymyr Tarasov led the first 2 laps but had France’s Mathys Boisrame and Germany’s Tom Koch behind him.

European Drag Racing at Hockenheim (Germany)

This year the 32nd edition of the Nitrolympx was held at the famous Hockenheim Circuit in Germany. On Friday only one qualification round was held - the second round was cancelled due to rain. On Saturday two qualification rounds were held in very warm weather. In Sunday elimination was performed, in sunny, cloudy weather. Top Fuel Bike, Rikard Gustafsson (SWE, photo 1) was nr. 1 qualifier, winner of the race and author of a new speed record 387,41 km/h. Second was Richard Leeks (GBR) ahead of Rene van der Berg (NED). Super Twin Bike: The winner was Martin de Haas (NED, photo2) ahead of Marcus Christiansen (DEN) who was also nr. 1 qualifier. Third position for Roman Sixta (CZE) Pro Stock Bike: There were 16 qualified riders who were competing for a 16-bike field. European U21 Team Speedway at Krosno (Poland) – Postponed

The European U21 Team Speedway Championship was scheduled last weekend at Krosno, in Poland. Heavy rain, as the toughest challenge of speedway races, stopped Polish youngsters on their way to the podium since they’ve won four out of five heats. Maybe a lot would have changed in next 15 heats, but Referee and the Jury stopped the meeting after Heat 5, which wasn’t enough heats to verify results; at least 10 heats should be done to decide the U21 European Team Champion. After many glances to the sky and a bit of hope that the rain will stop, the track was already soaked from the rain and it was not possible to continue. The group of 19 riders from 4 Countries was informed at 19:10 that they had to leave lovely stadium, notwithstanding the organizer did its best to provide them best conditions. EMX ITP Quad at Kivioli (Estonia)

The track of Kivioli in Estonia hosted the fourth round of the 2017 ITP European Quadcross Championship. More than 10.000 spectators packed around the track were present for the organization of SA Kivioli Seiklusturismi Keskus. A storm hit the track on Saturday evening, but luckily the weather turned out to be better on Sunday. Even so the organizer did a massive job to maintain the good quality of the track. Local Estonian rider Kevin Saar (Honda, in the last two photos) took full advantage of the Championship's visit to his native country and went ahead to easily win both motos in front of his home crowd.
