Supermoto European Championship at Albaida (Spain) - Day1

In sunny, partly cloudy but warm weather conditions the second round of the 2018 Supermoto European Championship season started in Albaida in the region of Valencia, Spain. Circuito d’Albaida has one of the most spectacular off-road sections in the Championship. A combination with the tight and fast corners of the track, makes that there is always action during the practice sessions and races in Albaida. TM Factory Racing rider Thomas Chareyre took his second pole position of this season and will start from first place on the grid. Free practice 1 On Saturday morning 27 riders started the first free practice in Albaida. European Supermoto S1 at Ottobiano (Italy) – Day2

With the sun out and some light clouds in the region of Pavia, Sunday race day in Ottobiano started promising. The large number of riders and the great overview on the grandstand at Ottobiano Motorsport attracted already a big number of spectators towards the track. With the circuit perfectly prepared the riders couldn’t wait to start the first round of the 2018 Supermoto European Season. In the S1 class it was TM Factory Racing rider Thomas Chareyre who took the victory. Race 1 When the lights dropped for the first time this season in Ottobiano, it was SWM Factory rider Mauno Hermunen to take the holeshot into the first fast corner of the circuit. European Moto2 and European Talent Cup at Estoril (Portugal) – Day1

In a day marked by wind and awkward track conditions Augusto Fernández (Easyrace) in Moto2 and Barry Baltus (Reale Avintia Academy) in the European Talent Cup earned their first poles in the FIM CEV Repsol and will lead off the starting grids of their respective categories after dominating the qualifying sessions of the first round of the season this weekend at the Circuito do Estoril. In Moto2™ Augusto Fernández (Easyrace), gained his first pole in the Moto2™ European Championship. The Easyrace team rider posted the best time of 1:44.466 in Q2 on the Suter to head the grid ahead of Xavier Cardelús (Team Stylobike) and Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative), who make up the first row. Local rider Ivo Lopes (Eni-Motor7-Pequeño Motos) takes fifth slot - and is also the top Superstock 600 rider - behind Marcel Brenner (H43 Team Nobby-Talasur) and ahead of Dimas Ekky ( Astra Honda Racing Team)

Speedway Euro Championship 2018 Calendar

During #LetsMakeSpeedway Gala in CKK Jordanki in Toruń, One Sport organization presented the Speedway Euro Championship 2018 calendar. The first round of SEC 2018 will take place in Gniezno. In the first Polish capital, 15 permanent motorcycle participants will start the fight for the Speedway Euro Championship podium. The season will end in another legendary city for Polish Speedway – Chorzów, on September 15th. Here, the competition on Śląski Stadium will be held for the first time in SEC history on a temporary track. The second SEC round will take place in Gustrow, on the shortest and the most technical track in the European Championship. The following stop for the riders starting in SEC will be in Daugavpils – hometown of current champion, Andrzejs Lebedevs. The SEC Challenge, where the biggest part of riders starting in the series will meet, will take place on May 5th in Italy. foto: Jarek

FIM Europe, as the name says, is the CONU representing Europe. What is happening from the “political side” in this Continent? Europe is an area where many rules and regulations are born, which are later followed by other areas in the World. FIM Europe closely follows the different proceedings representing our point of view. Regarding our PTW (Powered Two Wheels) world there are some issues of particular interest and I think that electric mobility and automated driving are the most exciting and also worrying ones. The new season of SuperEnduro started in style - it was an overwhelming reception in the Tauron Arena for the opening round of the 2018 season of the Maxxis FIM SuperEnduro World Championship, and in this context the first round of the FIM Europe SuperEnduro Cup started, too, in front of 12,000 Polish spectators who were thrilled by the exploits of the 75 riders entered from 22 nations. FIM Europe Mini Road Racing Championship 2018

The FIM Europe Road Racing Commission has established a Working Group (WG MRR) with the purpose of developing the European Championship series for Mini Road Racing and to promote Mini Road Racing in general in Europe. The purpose is to improve the quality of the Championship events and increase the number of participants. At the same time this will establish a strong foundation for the pyramid work on which the development of new talents for Road Racing sport is based. Part of the programme would also be to exchange ideas and best practices for the development of junior riders between the European FMNs. At a recent meeting with the FIM Europe CCR the Working Group proposed to organise one event in 2018. European Pairs Speedway Final at Lonigo (Italy)

The European Pairs Speedway Final was held at Lonigo (Italy) in front of 1800 spetactors in a sunny day. Nineteen riders were present, representing 7 teams. Poland-Italy  It was an entertaining meeting with a lot of close racing and several passes, especially in the first half of the meeting. Poland won the 2017 Pairs Championship dominating the meeting. The runner-up place went to Russia while France climbed on the last step of the rostrum. Russia-Poland The hosting Country Italy finished at the fourth place with Covatti scoring 12 points out of 15 of the total of the team. European Endurance at Oschersleben (Germany)

The last round of the European Endurance Championship was held at Oschersleben, in Germany with a total of 50 Teams, of which 10 participating to FIM Europe Stocksport and SuperTwin classes. The race was held with nice weather without rain and 20 degrees on Saturday. The winner of the 6 Hours of Oschersleben in the Stocksport class was the team of Aprilia Grebenstein from Germany. with Ralph Uhlig, Oliver Skach, Andreas and Jurgen Scheffler (in the photo). Second position for the BW77 Endurance, from France with Stephane Bednarek and Mikael Poteau, ahead of Box #44 Racing, from Germany, with Peter Weiß, Alan Agogue and Lutz Abram.
